Abstract

Amyloidosis is an idiopathic disorder characterized by the extracellular deposition of non-soluble fibrillar proteins that deposit in organs and tissues. It may manifest as systemic disease or be localized to certain organs, most commonly the kidney, heart and liver. Amyloidosis in laryngopharynx is a very rare disease representing 0.2-1.2 percent of all benign laryngeal tumors. And it primarily affects those aged 40-60 years. Here, we report two cases of amyloidosis occurred in laryngopharynx.
